We spent a part of Sunday looking ahead to a couple of events next weekend, the Rooster Run, to benefit Provident, and the Welcome Home Warrior Summit for Veterans.

Saturday’s Rooster Run at Forest Park helps Provident provide services to help prevent suicide, provide mental health counseling and community outreach. Provident Resource Development Director Julie McDowell tells us all about it here.  Click here to go to Provident’s home page and here to register for the run.

If you’re a veteran, or you know one, you’ll want to click here. That’s where you can listen to, or download, our interview with Warrior Summit Coalition CEO James Flagg. He has the details on Saturday’s Welcome Home Summit at Chaifetz Arena. The summit is a one-stop-shop for everything a veteran needs, from transition care, homeless help, employment opportunities, health and wellness and much more. Clicking here will take you to the summit’s page.

Harry Hamm reviewed the new documentary about the late Amy Winehouse. You can hear that, along with a box office check and a quick take on “Holiday Inn” at The Muny here.

And our birthdays included one of Fleetwood’s Macs, a singing Angel and former Blue Bret Hedican’s gold-medal-winning wife. You can catch the entire list here.

We hope you’re enjoying your weekend. Thanks for spending some of it with us. We’ll talk to you next Saturday!
